Wishart is constantly seeking out new relationships between word, sound and feeling which has led to a fascination with mediaeval music. VESPERS is not a historical reconstruction but rather a creative re-imagining of a choral vespers, sung at dusk. A contemporary echo, a sonic fingerprint from the past.
